More About The Patriot Emergency Vehicle:
The Patriot is a unique vehicle, in that it can respond to more than 95% of emergency calls. With the ability to cover EMS-related, light rescue, or light suppression dispatches, this one unit serves many needs.
Built on the Spartan Metrostar chassis, the core of the unit is a medium-duty Type I ambulance module. The 170” box has 73” of interior headroom, and will hold up to six crew members and their emergency medical equipment. Designed to deliver maximum interior space and increased payload, the unit features many industry exclusives Braun is known for. These include their SolidBody™ Construction, EZ Glide™ Sliding Door, MasterTech™ Multiplex Electrical Control System, and VitaMax™ Lighting System.
When it comes to light firefighting suppression capabilities, the unit has the ability to carry up to 200 gallons of water. In addition, it features a compressed air foam system (CAFS) which can hold and dispense up to 15 gallons of foam. There are also two 1-inch booster reels attached to either side of the module.
Lastly, there is a ton of storage on the Patriot for rescue situations. External and internal compartments will house the equipment you need to respond to emergency rescue calls. More usable payload will also help you get the most out of this unique emergency vehicle.
One of the most well-known organizations to adopt this unit is Volusia County Fire Services.
