Summary

The Mobile Service Parts Assistant position at the Cobb Service Center will provide comprehensive support to the Mobile Service manager for field services technicians through Ten-8 territories.

Duties and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Accurately identify, record and order technician and parts requests.
  • Provide support by researching and identifying parts that technicians are unable to identify.
  • Monitor orders to anticipate late deliveries and escalate deficiencies to the manager.
  • Receive deliveries into the ERP system and process parts returns as required.
  • Set and maintain inventory levels for mobile service vehicles.
  • Support the Mobile Service Writer with documentation and warranty claim information asneeded.
  • Provide support to other Ten-8 locations as directed.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Prior truck parts experience.
  • Ability to read parts blueprints and schematic diagrams.
Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to effectively and present information to customers and employees. Proficient verbal communication skills, in English, are required.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics, algebra, and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions in written and oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variances in standardized situations. Strong problem-solving skills required.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand and walk over 60% of work time. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
