Don Bouwer, CEO of Ten-8 Fire and Safety, was honored to serve as a Trustee on the Florida Fire & Emergency Services Foundation from 2010 – 2014. During his time on the board, he played an important role representing the fire service industry attending meetings and participating in events held by the Florida Fire Chief’s Association.
During the FFCA Executive Development Conference held in Fort Lauderdale August 1 – 5, 2014, President of the Florida Fire Chief’s Association, Chief Ron Parrish, presented Mr. Bouwer with an award of appreciation for his time spent on the board. The award was presented during the prayer breakfast which is sponsored annually by Ten-8 Fire and Safety, LLC
Mr. Bouwer’s seat on the board is being replaced by Cindy Morgan, VP of Equipment and Rescue Sales -Ten-8 Fire and Safety, LLC Cindy was voted in by the board on May 9th, 2014. Cindy started with Ten-8 in 2006 and manages the Ambulance division and Loose Equipment division. She has 22 years working in the Fire industry in Florida. Cindy attended the FFCA and FFESF Strategic Planning session held in April and looks forward to helping this plan come to life.

The mission of the Florida Fire & Emergency Services Foundation is to provide educational opportunities, including scholarships, to fire and emergency services professionals, develop public relations programs to promote and raise public awareness of Florida’s fire and emergency services; to assist other related organizations in the development and implementation of public education programs and provide scholarships to educate fire service personnel on the latest public safety methods or techniques.
