Earlier this summer North River Fire District located in Palmetto, Florida had a decision to make. They needed new hose but were unsure of what to buy. Fire Chief Michael Rampino called John Madigan, Equipment Sales Representative for Ten-8 Fire and Safety. John brought in Mark Lighthill from Key Hose to try out their fire hose.
North River Fire District wanted high performance, low friction loss and a high kink resistance. They found all this and more in Key Combat Ready fire hose.
Key Hose, now a division of KFH Industries, was established in 1988 in Miami, Florida by Charlie Genthner. Charlie began with 16 used circular weaving looms purchased from Europe and transformed Key Hose into the world’s largest manufacturer of fire hose and related products. This state of the art manufacturer has more than 250,000 square feet of manufacturing space for the design and manufacture of fire hose. In 2010 Key Hose moved their manufacturing facility from Miami, Florida to Dothan, Alabama.
