The 2015 EMS Today show in Baltimore, Maryland, was teeming with fire and EMS professionals eager to see the latest trends and innovations in the industry. When visiting the Medix Ambulance booth, attendees were not disappointed.
At the show, Medix unveiled the new Ford Type II on the horizon – the all-new Medix SRH-148 Type II Ambulance. This new ambulance features a Ford Transit chassis and is on the cutting edge with its design, inside and out.
With a 148-inch wheelbase, the Medix Type II focuses on safety and efficiency to produce a stellar ambulance for all of your transport needs. This emergency vehicle includes a full array of safety features that have been certified to meet the newest industry-mandated testing requirements, including an emergency light package that features Whelen emergency lights as well as scene and load lighting for effective visibility. Other standard features include 3D/CNC produced wood and aluminum cabinetry, HD welded steel curbside wall structure, high back tech seating, and a transverse O2.
Being the first manufacturer to get an ambulance built on this Ford Transit chassis, Medix is confident in their process and strategy in engineering this new model option for many customers to come.
