Content Creator (Videographer)
SUMMARY: We are looking for an experienced video producer & editor to spearhead all of Ten-8’s video content creation, production, and editing. This position will report to the President/CEO but will work directly with the executive team and marketing manager to create effective content that represents the core values of the company and the manufacturers that Ten-8 represents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Research, plan, and create scripts for videos that support Ten-8’s brand presence.
- Ensure all recording and equipment remain in good working order and keep track of new purchases and expenses.
- Coordinate video recording schedules and plans with staff, subject-matter experts, and clients.
- Attend trade shows and customer and company events nationwide as needed.
- Coordinate with industry partners to arrange logistics of video production resources and opportunities.
- Manage YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and WordPress Video Galleries.
- Film, edit, and distribute video content to the proper teams and channels.
- Add graphics, captions, and limited special effects to videos as needed.
- Capture still photos as necessary to support project scope and marketing needs.
- Leverage search engine optimization and track video metrics and key performance indicators, such as the number of views, likes, shares, and conversions.
- Set up and shoot live-streamed video and prerecorded video podcasts.
- Keep up to speed on current video-creation trends and practices.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
EDUCATION:
- College degree in broadcasting, film, or a related field, preferred.
- Three to five years of experience in video production or similar role.
- Relevant industry certifications, such as Certified Professional Videographer (CPV) or Certified Digital Video Production Specialist (CDVP) preferred.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions in written and oral form. Ability to resolve problems and recommend improvements in all areas of responsibility.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong creativity, video creation, storytelling, and editing skills with the ability to adapt video content on different platforms.
- Able to work with various teams on multiple projects at one time.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Deep understanding of pre- and post-production video techniques.
- Thorough knowledge of current video editing software (such as Premiere Pro, Movie Maker, and Final Cut) with competency in color grading, missing audio levels, motion graphics and limited special effects.
- Competent in all aspects of mirrorless and non-mirrorless camera systems and scene lighting.
- Capable of working with on camera talent to direct with final version and messaging in mind.

LIGHT WORK: Lifting 20 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 lbs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and balancing.
WORK POSITION: Sitting 70%, standing 15%, and walking 15%.
WORK CONDITIONS: Spends approximately 10% of the time outdoors.
