Sales Support Manager

SUMMARY:

The Sales Support Manager is responsible for the overall directions, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of the order fulfillment cycle, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.

The SS Manager has a significant impact to the financial management of Ten-8’s revenue stream. The SS Manager is responsible for managing and supporting several business areas within Order Management.  The position reports directly to the Vice President of Apparatus Sales and Vice President of Equipment and Rescue Sales

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed

  • Manage the administration of contracts for all Fire Apparatus, Ambulance and Remounts.
  • Formulate objectives and priorities and implement plans that support the ongoing fulfillment of orders. Taking advantage of opportunities and managing risks.
  • Effectively manage and guide staff to accomplish goals of the department and provide appropriate level of feedback on progress.
  • Work closely with VP of Sales on all trade-in of Fire Apparatus and Ambulance.
  • Manage training and delivery program to assure all deliveries and trainings are provided and in accordance with contractual specifications.
  • Assure all proper OEM, MSO, licensing, and tags are processed accordingly.
  • Manage consortium contract reporting and payments.
  • Serves as an escalation point to assist in resolving issues with orders. Managing customer correspondence on inquiries by researching status of shipments, past dues and expedite

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES: This position has direct supervision over the Order Management staff members. The OM Manager is responsible for training, mentoring, and leading all Contract Administrators in a positive and professional manner.

  • Encouragement, recognition, and corrective action when necessary.
  • Promoting cross-training, development, and succession planning.
  • Recommendation of staffing modifications and process improvements to President.
  • Completing annual evaluations for employees that are direct reports.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English are required.  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to create standard correspondence both written and verbal.  Ability to effectively and concisely present information in a one-on-one and small group situation to customers and other employees.  Ability to work from oral and written instructions.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must poses excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to create standard correspondence. Proficient verbal communication skills, in English, are required.

EDUCATION: 

·       Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience.

·       Three (3) to Five (5) years of Order Management experience, Fire Service industry preferred.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics, algebra, and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions in written and oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variances in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be able to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to      accept direction on given assignments.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in problem solving.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
  • Ability to express new ideas and creative solutions to existing processes and issues.
  • Possess an unwavering dedication to premier customer service and support. 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, and work quickly and efficiently.

  • Applies in-depth specialized knowledge, skills and judgment to accomplish the goals of the Order Management Department.

WORK CONDITIONS:

Inside: Spends approximately 90% or more of the time inside. Inside work has good ventilation, comfortable temperature.

Outside: Spend approximately 10% of the time outside.
