At Fire Rescue East in Daytona Beach, Ten-8 Fire and Safety announced a partnership with the Fire Fighter Cancer Support Network (FCSN) by presenting a check for $10,000. Ten-8 Fire and Safety is celebrating our 30th Anniversary this year and we wanted to express our gratitude for our amazing customers and give back to them. Our customers put their lives in danger everyday to save others, and Ten-8 is committed to selling the highest quality fire and EMS apparatus and fire equipment available to protect you!
The objective of the Fire Fighter Cancer Support Network is to provide assistance to all fire service members and their families in the event of a cancer diagnosis. In addition, FCSN educates the fire/EMS service about cancer awareness, prevention, early detection, and treatment options. Keith Tyson, Eastern Regional Vice President for FCSN, graciously accepted the donation. Keith is a retired firefighter/paramedic from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and within 6 months of retirement was diagnosed with cancer.
After 30 years in business, we know the sacrifices firefighters and EMS staff make in order to keep the rest of us safe or get us help when we most need it. Giving back to these individuals – our wonderful customers – isn’t just the right thing to do; it’s the only thing to do. We hope our partnership and contributions can have as much of a positive impact on their lives as they have had on ours.
